LIGHTS FANTASTIC was founded in 1968 to fill the void for contemporary lighting in Dallas, TX. The Parent Company, Fleco Industries, was established in 1965 and manufactured, assembled and sold fluorescent lighting for both commercial and residential lighting. Lights Fantastic fast grew to the largest lighting retailer during the 1980's with over 30 stores in the state of Texas.

Lights Fantastic was the pioneer of many major trends in lighting that today are commonplace. Lights Fantastic was the first to popularize ceiling fans as a major element of residential lighting. They also initiated major trends in plant lighting, black lights, halogen lighting and much more. Lights Fantastic has now consolidated its resources into two superstores in Dallas and Austin. Both stores feature the most complete assortment of contemporary lighting in their city. Both stores show over 2,000 fixtures on display and over 5,000 in stock ranging from traditional fixtures to crystal chandeliers to outdoor and bath lighting. Still today Lights Fantastic has the most complete assortment of ceiling fans.

Today it has major departments for Full Spectrum Daylight Lighting that makes reading and hobbies easier to see, Urban Modern Lighting especially designed to coordinate with today�s popular loft living and the most complete assortment of Stiffel Lamps in the Country. We provide specialized training for sales associates to advance their lighting knowledge. Lighting design, decorative and technical architectural layouts and in-home lighting expertise can be achieved through our training program. Provide excellent lighting design consultations and outstanding customer service to our customers both at our retail store and through outside sales calls.

Duties Include:

Greet customers and qualify them.
Assist and advise customers on purchases by providing design ideas and product knowledge.
Accurately complete store paperwork including sales transactions, returns and special orders.
Layout jobs and work with customers on house plans.
Close sales.
Attend seminars, training classes, and online classes for product knowledge, design ideas and sales techniques.

Qualifications:

Energetic, Outgoing personality.
Team Player, professional attitude.
One to two years sales experience preferable. Training available.
High School/College graduate or equivalent.

Room for Advancement into Store Management, Purchasing or Merchandising.

STOCK CLERK:
Receives, unpacks and stocks merchandise in the stockroom to provide availability of merchandise to customer.

Duties Include:

Receives incoming merchandise from truck; assists with unloading of truck. Counts and sorts items to verify receipt of merchandise on requisition/invoices.
Examines merchandise for defects and/or breakage.
Unpacks, stores, transfers, retrieves and wraps merchandise.
Stores merchandise on shelves according to style, size and type.
Retrieves merchandise from stockroom to replenish floor displays; assembles items as necessary.
Prepares merchandise for transfer to branch stores or returns to warehouse.
Assists in repairing damaged merchandise and assists customers with carry out of purchased merchandise.

Qualifications:

Team Player
Professional and courteous attitude towards customers and coworkers.
Six months experience in stock or receiving.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Electrical background helpful.
Must be able to climb ladders and lift 25 to 50 pounds.
